The SK Hydropower Project is located on the Kunha River in the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Province, northern Pakistan. It is about 250 kilometers away from the capital Islamabad. It has a total installed capacity of 884 MW and a total investment of about 1.96 billion U.S. dollars. The construction was officially started in 2017. After the project is completed, it can provide Pakistan with 3.2 billion kilowatt-hours of clean electric energy every year, help Pakistan's power energy structure optimization, and effectively alleviate the problem of energy shortage.
